This is a 7 mile out and back moderate hike through aspen and evergreen forest.
Description: This trail descends steadily through lush aspen and evergreen forest along Bear Creek. Be prepared to get your feet wet as we have a few creek crossings, starting just a mile in. At the first crossing, we enter an open meadow, often filled with wildflowers and beautiful foliage. We continue along the stream until we begin to make our gradual one mile ascent to an overlook and an incredible view of the Buffalo Creek and Lost Creek Wilderness areas. There we’ll rest and enjoy a healthy snack while we revel in a layered sea of green.
Included in our rates: The services of a professional guide along with personal coaching from a certified trainer and nutrition specialist. You will learn skills, exercises, stretches and best practices to achieve the most from your outdoor adventure! Snacks and education about local and natural history are also included.
Not included in our rates: Transportation, area parking fee ($7 per vehicle)
Difficulty Description: Outdoor adventuring for anyone comfortable with regular exercise. No previous experience required and suitable for those with a moderate level of fitness; however, the high elevation in addition to the distance will give you a rewarding challenge!
